DIREct access scheme (DAs)
The Direct Access Scheme (DAS) allows you to go straight for your unrestricted Category A licence without having held a lower-category licence first. You can access Category A in two ways: either at age 24 via DAS, or at age 21 if you've held an A2 licence for at least two years. DAS involves training and testing on a larger motorcycle from the start.
